The monster truck scene has grown exponentially in recent years, with trucks models now boasting three times the horsepower of those of the 1990s. The following are some noteworthy trucks that competed in 2016. This is a list of notable monster trucks from around the world. It doesn't include all current vehicles, but it does highlight some of the most famous ones 1) Avenger- This truck is currently driven by Bill Lechleiter, and was originally driven by Gary Porter who passed away on October 11th, 2015 after an accident at a show where he suffered head injuries. Avenger is currently driven by his son, Cody Porter. 2) Bad Habit- This truck is driven by "Big" John Heaton, who was born on November 13, 1971 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He has been driving since the early 1990s after getting into the sport. Bad Habit was originally driven by Bob Chandler before he passed away in 1999 due to a heart attack at age 45. The truck now bears Bob's name on the hood of the truck. 3) Bigfoot- Bigfoot is driven by "Big" John Heaton, who was born on November 13, 1971 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He has been driving since the early 1990s after getting into the sport. The truck was originally driven by "Big" Don Hubbard before his passing in 1998. Bigfoot recently passed on the torch to his son, "Big" Will Heaton Jr., who is 5' 3" weighing about 120 pounds and has 8 years expereince under his belt. The truck currently bears Wills' name on the hood of the truck. 4) Big Bad John- This Bigfoot Jr. driven by Will Heaton and his mother and father, Lois and John Heaton. The truck was originally driven by Portertron before he passed away at the age of 44, and was subsequently passed on to his son Luke Hubbard. The truck bears Luke's name on the hood. 5) Bob Chandler- This Bad Habit driven by Bill Lechleiter is driven by Bob for 5 years now after he got into the sport in 1993. Bob is married with two children and has been a professional driver for over 20 years now. 6) Captain Midnight- This Bigfoot Jr. driven by Will Heaton and his mother and father, Lois and John Heaton. The truck was originally driven by Portertron before he passed away at the age of 44, and was subsequently passed on to his son Luke Hubbard. The truck bears Luke's name on the hood. 7) Grave Digger- This truck is currently driven by Dennis Anderson, who owns a shop in Anoka County, Minnesota where they prepare for races through their shop. He is the longest running driver of the same vehicle in its history, as he has been driving it since 1979. 8) Iron Outlaw- This Big Bad John driven by Will Heaton and his mother and father, Lois and John Heaton. cfa1e77820
